Art Education for All

The Sumter County Gallery of Art offers a variety of camps ranging from exploratory creative expression to advanced investigation of artistic design principles and techniques. Our instructors are professional artists and art educators excelling in the medias of drawing, painting, printmaking, pottery, fiber art, sculpture, mixed media and more. We are committed to nurturing children’s love for creating art, no matter their age, interest, or skill level.

Camp Details

Morning Session

  • Drop Off - 8:45-9:00 AM
  • Pick Up - 11:45-12:00 PM

Afternoon Session

  • Drop Off - 12:45-1:00 PM
  • Pick Up - 3:45-4:00 PM

Campers ages 8 and older enrolled in both a morning and afternoon camp during the same week may bring a bagged lunch that does not require refrigeration for a one hour supervised lunch break. Water and lemonade will be provided.

Each camp includes a snack break provided by the Gallery. Please notify the gallery at the time of registration if your child has any food allergies.

Camps are $105 per week for members, and $115 for non-members.

Tuition balance is due Thursday prior to the start of each camp. If a camp is canceled by the gallery, a full refund will be issued. Parents needing to cancel their student’s participating in camp should give notice no later than the Thursday preceding the start of their registered camp in order to receive a full refund.

A limited number of tuition scholarships are available for students who would otherwise not be able to attend camps for financial reasons. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and availability. If you would like to nominate your or any other child age 4-17 for a scholarship, please contact the gallery and request a form. We also welcome ongoing donations to our scholarship program if you are able to help other in our community participate in our programming!
